Forum for young leaders

Good news for the Bavarian capital: the One Young World (OYW) Summit will return to Munich in 2025. It already took place in Munich in 2021 in a hybrid version and under pandemic restrictions. The event was a great success and the 2025 Summit, allowing full presence, will build on that success.

The 2025 OYW Summit will take place from 3 to 6 November at the ICM in Munich. Around 2,000 young leaders from 196 countries, 100 observers, 60 advisors and well-known personalities are expected to attend the four-day event.

Young managers from international companies will meet young leaders from emerging and developing countries to discuss issues such as education, climate and environmental protection, and social projects.

Summit as an opportunity

The Summit is a unique opportunity for Munich to present itself to an international audience as a forward-looking, innovative business location, a modern and cosmopolitan city with a unique quality of life.

Companies can position themselves at the Summit with their innovations, corporate values and potential. Delegates and consultants take away positive impressions and become ambassadors and multipliers for Munich.

Munich's role as host city

In order to host the Summit, the City of Munich has to provide a number of commitments and services. These include planning and funding the opening and closing ceremonies, covering the cost of evening meals for delegates, providing transport and efficient communication networks, ensuring easy access for participants from 196 countries, and guaranteeing security and freedom of expression.

Much of the budget will be raised through partnerships with businesses. The city has developed a range of support packages and is looking for more partners to join those already committed.

Sponsors & supporters

It is particularly pleasing that several Munich-based companies are once again supporting the Summit. BMW is the main sponsor of the event, and Siemens and Deloitte are also sponsors.

Other supporters include ASMPT, the European Patent Office, Microsoft, Rohde & Schwarz, Deutsche Bahn, Messe München and Süddeutsche Zeitung.
