One Young World Summit 2025

In 2025, Munich will host the One Young World Summit for the second time.

One Young World Summit Munich 2021

International conference for young leaders

From 3 to 6 November 2025, Munich will once again be the Host City of the One Young World Summit. One Young World was founded in 2009 by Kate Robertson and David Jones as a global network of young leaders. Every year, over 2,000 young leaders and talents from all over the world come together in a different city to discuss solutions and projects that contribute to achieving the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

In 2025, the focus will be on education, circular economy, responsible technologies, anti-hate and peace & security. At the Summit, the delegates will be accompanied by companies, non-governmental organisations and educational institutions as well as a wide range of well-known personalities who will share their experiences with the young talents. At previous Summits, these personalities included Lewis Hamilton, Sir Bob Geldof, Justin Trudeau, Meghan Markle and Muhammad Yunus.

Role of the Host City

Munich will be the host city of the One Young World Summit for the second time after 2021. In September 2024, the city took over the baton from the previous host city Montréal at the summit in Canada. As host, the City of Munich is responsible for organising the opening and closing ceremonies. It also offers delegates an insight into local hospitality by organising dinners at various venues in Munich on the days of the conference. The City of Munich is supported in its role by renowned companies based in Munich.

Opening the Summit to the public

Participation in the One Young World Summit is reserved for the approximately 2,200 delegates, who are carefully selected by their companies, One Young World and other organisations that award scholarships. However, this year, the City of Munich will make the Opening Ceremony open to the general public, so that Munich residents also have the opportunity to experience the special spirit of One Young World. More information on how to secure tickets for the Opening Ceremony will be available here in the summer.
