The MUNICH FASHION AWARD 2025 enters its hot phase: the finalists have been announced!

Applications from all over Europe

After an intensive review of more than 170 submissions from all over Europe, the prestigious jury has selected the designers whose forward-looking concepts are equally convincing in terms of sustainability and aesthetics. Brands from Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Kosovo, Latvia, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine and the United Kingdom applied.

Red Carpet Event, Exposition and Conference on 15 and 16 May 2025

With their collections, these designers are making a strong statement in favour of a sustainable future for fashion and combining sustainability with aesthetic excellence. Their designs will be presented to invited guests at a red carpet event (salon and show format) at the House of Communication in Munich on Thursday, May 15, 2025.

Conference on fashion, sustainability and technology

On Friday, May 16, 2025, the MFA conference will take place with international experts from fashion, sustainability and technology from the Advisory Board and the jury of the Munich Fashion Awards as well as other experts. In the afternoon, the finalists' exhibition will be open to the public.

The prestigious jury is composed of renowned industry figures whose expertise and experience are driving sustainable innovations in the fashion world: Christiane Arp – Chairwoman, Fashion Council Germany, Veronica Bates-Kassatly – Analyst and Consultant in Sustainable Fashion, Li Edelkoort – Trend Forecaster, Publisher & Design Expert, Herbert Hofmann – VP Creative & Buying, Highsnobiety, Maria Intscher-Owrang – CEO, Simplifyber, Troy Nachtigall – Professor of Fashion Research & Technology, HVA, Brooke Roberts-Islam – Founder of TECHSTYLER, Author & Consultant, Louise Xin – Fashion Designer & Human Rights Activist.

The MUNICH FASHION AWARD (MFA) was created by the City of Munich to promote emerging European design talent that combines sustainability, innovation and design, as well as sustainability in fashion. In addition to the prestigious award, the winners receive prize money as well as access to exclusive mentoring programmes and networking opportunities with international industry experts.
